Candle Care
Please ensure you follow the candle care instructions below to get the most from your candle:
Care for the wick:
Ensure you trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
On subsequent burns, simply snap off the excess wick(with your fingers or a wick trimmer) and dispose. Do not let wick trimmings fall into the candle.
If the wick is not trimmed properly it may produce smoke and cause your candle to burn faster.
Suggested burn time:
Each burn time should last long enough for the candle wax to liquify across the entire surface of the jar to the sides. This is important so that the candle burns evenly and does not form a well in the middle. NEVER burn a candle for longer than four hours - at this point extinguish, allow to cool, trim the wick and then relight.
Discontinue burning candles when 2cm of wax is remaining (to protect surfaces and furnishings from heat).
Appearance:
Each candle is carefully hand-poured and will have a unique appearance. Some wax discolouration may occur after lighting, but this is due to only using clean-burn, natural ingredients.
Frosting on the top or sides of candle is also a natural characteristic of soy wax, which has no synthetic additives.
Warning:
To prevent fire incidents AND serious injury, NEVER leave lit candles unattended. Scented candles (and especially glass jars and travel tins) can become quite hot after three hours of burning so ensure candles are always placed on a heat resistant surface.
Keep away from drafts and curtains.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Never move a lit candle.
Never burn candles near flammable items (curtains, beds etc).
